These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and Scoutletic (“Scoutletic,” “we,” “us” or “our”) governing your access to and use of our website, applications and services (the “Services”). Scoutletic is owned and operated by Lafoba. By creating an account or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

Minors and parental responsibility. Scoutletic welcomes young athletes, some as young as 10 years old. However, any person under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in their country) may use the Services only if a parent or legal guardian registers, owns and manages the account on their behalf. The parent or guardian must read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and is fully responsible for the minor’s activity on the platform.

Children are not permitted to create accounts on their own. By registering or managing an account for a minor, you represent that you are the minor’s parent or legal guardian, that you consent to their use of the Services, and that you will supervise that use. We require verifiable parental consent for children under 13 (in line with COPPA) and parental consent below the applicable digital-consent age elsewhere (in line with the GDPR and other laws). We may suspend or remove any account we believe was created for a minor without proper parental involvement.

You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. You may not share your account, impersonate others or create an account using false information.

You retain ownership of the profiles, videos, images, statistics and other content you submit (“User Content”). By posting User Content, you grant Scoutletic a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute that content solely to operate and promote the Services. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to your User Content and that it does not infringe any third party’s rights or violate any law.

You agree not to:

• post content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, obscene or that exploits or endangers minors;
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation, age or identity;
• collect or harvest data about other users without consent;
• upload viruses or malicious code, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Services;
• use the Services for spam, fraud or any illegal purpose; or
• infringe the intellectual-property or privacy rights of others.

Scoutletic provides tools to help athletes and recruiters discover and contact one another. We are not an agent, employer, recruiter or talent agency, and we do not participate in or guarantee any tryout, contract, transfer, recruitment or other outcome. Any arrangement you enter into with another user is solely between you and that user. Always exercise caution, and involve a parent or guardian for any interaction involving a minor.

The Services, including their design, text, graphics, logos and software, are owned by Scoutletic and Lafoba and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for your own User Content, you may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the Services without our prior written permission.

The Services may contain links to, or advertising from, third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products or practices. Your dealings with third parties are solely between you and them.

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we handle your information.

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

Account security and data breaches. While we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the Services, no website, network, server or method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee that unauthorised access, hacking, malware, data loss or a security breach will never occur. You use the Services at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scoutletic and Lafoba are not responsible or liable for any unauthorised access to, use of, or alteration of your account or information, or for any harm resulting from a compromise of your device, network, password or credentials, or from events beyond our reasonable control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scoutletic and Lafoba will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, opportunities or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services, including any unauthorised access to or use of your account or data, hacking, security breach, or the conduct of any other user. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scoutletic, Lafoba and their officers, employees and partners from any claims, damages or expenses arising out of your use of the Services, your User Content, or your breach of these Terms. If you manage an account for a minor, this includes claims arising from that minor’s use.

Because Scoutletic is used worldwide, we ask that you first contact us at support@scoutletic.com so we can try to resolve any dispute informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved, it will be governed by the laws applicable to Lafoba’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your country of residence.

You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the platform or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
